Two people were killed and several more were injured after the mall in Boise, Idaho, opened fire on Friday afternoon.
FoxNews.com reported police officers were called to the Mall at Salmon Creek around 1:30 p.m. PT when “several customers” reported shots had been fired.
The FOX News website stated, “On scene, officers and Spokane County emergency response teams provided immediate care to victims in a “medical-distress staging area” in the mall’s parking lot before they were transported to nearby hospitals. Spokane County confirmed on Twitter that several victims are in critical condition.”

First responders and officers found the wounded and the victims were rushed to hospitals.
Boise police confirmed the suspect is dead after a brief shootout.
The suspect, described as a 40-year-old white male, was shot and killed by two people, according to a statement.

Boise Police Chief William Bones said during a news conference that the victim was armed with a handgun and a knife, and “that’s when he’s encountered by multiple officers.”
Bones said the suspect may have been seeking someone, however, it is too early to say for sure.
He said there was no threat to the public.
